Abstract: Em 1978, Antônio e Maria decidiram largar a vida de empregados e abrir seu próprio negócio: uma confecção de roupas de cama. De lá para cá, as mudanças costuraram a vida da empresa. Mais de 30 anos depois, Joana, a atual proprietária e gerente, enfrenta um dilema: ela deve reinvestir no negócio para que este se mantenha competitivo? O objetivo deste caso consiste em ajudar Joana a decidir qual estratégia adotar nesste momento, a partir de informações setoriais, micro e macroeconômicas e de tendências de consumo. In 1978 Antônio and Maria decided to quit their jobs and open their own business: a linen factory. From then on, changes were always part of the company's routine. More than 30 years later, the current manager, Joana, is going through a dilemma: must she reinvest in the business to keep it competitive? The objective of this case is to help Joana decide which strategy to adopt at this time, baded on sectoral information, micro and macroeconomic data and consumer trends.
