Empreendedorismo universitário e formação de empresas startups: um estudo de caso da Prepi

Abstract

University entrepreneurship has become increasingly popular in Brazilian universities. Incentives ranging from entrepreneurship disciplines that stimulate the resolution of societal problems through the creation of new multidisciplinary team-building products or services to mentorshipdriven innovation edicts, mentoring and financial support have become increasingly popular in the environment, broadening entrepreneurship and creating projects that may become startups. Prepi is a startup that was born as a result of another startup pivot, Porquin, which in turn was a project that resulted from one of the most well-known entrepreneurship disciplines from the UFPE Computer Center, the IF683 - DEVELOPMENT PROJECT, or "Projetão"as it is most popularly known at the Center. After more than 2 years and 6 months entrepeneurship experience, making mistakes, learning and readjusting, some of the key challenges facing Prepi’s founding college entrepreneurs face concrete issues such as financial, market knowledge and business management, as well as subjective issues, such as professional maturity, teamwork and leadership. Thus, the focus of this work will be to clarify the practical history of the experience of entrepreneurs who founded a university while bringing a critical view of the evolution of work and delimiting positive and negative aspects experienced, that generated importante learning for the founding team, contributing to their professional skills formation.
