Abstract: | The process of organizational change is increasingly influenced by the leader, which has an important role in building spaces in organizations, insofar it makes possible the facilitation of discussion and questioning of the group. Nowadays, is increasing the universe of reflections on the importance of leadership in institutions in view of the new forms of work organization, its skills, competencies and its respective management of information. Thus, this article constitutes a review of the literature, focusing on various aspects of the structured thematic as the leadership types, skills and competencies of leader in the organization and its activities as a tool that enables competitive differentiation. Therefore the primordial objective is to provoke reflections on the conceptual evolution of leadership and its various dimensions as well as the required models of management in this new millennium, combining in a way that highlights the relevance of the theme, identifying the role of leadership through its actions and behavior in a organizational change process. |
