Abstract: | The present research had as general objective to describe how a language school manages the human capital of its teachers. The data were obtained from a franchise of a language course, which interviewed the owner of the course and passed a short questionnaire to 117 students from different classes and periods, so that the result could be as comprehensive as possible. It was analyzed whether the teacher's experience, fluency and level of knowledge of the language are directly linked to their remuneration, and according to the questionnaire, if the students are satisfied with the administrative techniques taken by the management to choose the acting teachers in the course. Given the previous results, it was concluded that there is a positive influence between teachers' remuneration and their knowledge of the language, that is, that the more the teacher masters other languages, the more positively this reflects in their remuneration. According to the analysis of the students who answered the questionnaire, it was perceived that they are satisfied with the administration and quality of the services offered by the course, leading to the conclusion that the variables of human capital in the choice of teachers cause there is a positive reflection for the school on the students' perceptions. The research was based on a single case study, but it is suggested that this study be replicated in a greater number of franchises in order to test their ownership other administrations. |
